The BBC reports that some morons have started a hacking school in Barcelona:
Barcelona is home to an innovative new project designed to combat hacking.
The Hacker High School is at the University of La Salle, in the same department that churns out some of the best of Barcelona’s designers.
The scheme is not the “devil’s workshop” it might sound but, say its organisers, aims to tackle a modern-day taboo.
Likening current attitudes to hacking to old repressed notions of sex, they say many are doing it, but few are talking about it.
This is helluva lame! I just don’t know where to start. If you’re too stupid to teach yourself anything someone shouldn’t be teaching you how to crack computers. There are enough clueless script kiddies in this world, we don’t need a school spewing out new legions of them.
There are also enough morons in this world who go into computing “because they like toying around with windows”. Please, for the love of God, don’t encourage these people. We need to diminish the number of clueless sys & networkadmins we have, not increase it. Oh how I miss the good old days, when hacking wasn’t “cool” for every clueless numnut who wants to be different……..
Man, if you had bothered to read to the end of the article, you would have understood that what they teach in this classes is things like how to identify phishing attacks or how to clean your computer from malware.
Nothing about creating script kiddies there.
But I guess a cool hacker like you can’t have the patience to actually read a whole article and understand it…
Euhm…I quote:

This sounds a lot like that old happy hacker crap. The only thing the above produces are a bunch of kids who think they know everything, but end up clogging “hacker” chatrooms & forums with legions of clueless n00bs who want the latest hotmail cracking skillz.
I think there are enough numnuts in computers these days who understand everything just enough to barely use it, but not enough to love it. The school above just produces more of the first…..
