Uneed International x.15E HTPC case

HTPCnews has written a review of the Uneed International x.15E HTPC case. Excerpt:

The Uneed x15 case certainly is unique and fairly well designed case. The touch screen was a great add on that really makes this case stand out from the rest of the market and even allows you to put your own personal touch on, as I did with the Konfabulator widgets. This is by no means an average case and can house just about anything you wish to put in it. Even when loaded out with a high end graphics card and every slot full, all while running at low noise levels this case didn’t turn in to a heater for my family room. Heat is one issue that really tends to plague most cases but thanks to the cases ventilation, 80mm exhaust port and light aluminum panels this was not a concern. I can see all high end system builders lining up already to get a hold of these cases and use them in home automation systems, and high end home theater gear. And with good reason too, this is one of the most original high end cases currently available on the market.

The current estimated street price is going to be around $599 according to various sources. It is my understanding that PC Alchemy should have quite a few cases available for sale soon. That may seem kind of pricey but really there is no mass market case like it on the market. If the TFT screen is not your cup of tea and are looking to spend a little less the x11 should be made available soon. The x11 will be nearly identical to the x15 but with a VFD instead of a LCD touch screen.

Oh my God, I think I’m in love with this case. Because of the LCD screen the case makes me think of the Rotel RSP-1098. It seriously make me think hard about trading my younger brother for it ;-) . The case just looks so gorgeous and would fit in so well with a rack of higher end hifi gear. It would certainly fit in with my (not so high end yet) hifi set….
